I am continuing to operate during the Covid 19 outbreak. With other income from exhibitions, trade and workshops currently on hold I am reliant on income from online sales from my website shop and my Etsy shop and very much appreciate all of your support. I will update this page from time to time to keep you informed of important developments during this challenging time for everybody. In the meantime please keep me in mind over the coming months.
If you are not already on my mailing list please join, if you use Etsy please favourite my Etsy shop and if you are on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest please follow my accounts so I can keep in touch. My cards, prints and other products make ideal gifts to bring a smile to your loved ones who may be self isolating at this time and I would love to help you send something to them to brighten their day.
In order to make things easier for you to get items to your friends and loved ones who may be isolating during this difficult time I can send your item directly to the recipient. If you wish to do this please state clearly in the order notes at checkout indicating the full name and address of the recipient along with any special message that you wish to send. If you do this I will ensure that no price information is included with the product. Items will be packed in a standard cardboard envelope / box depending on the product, however, you can also add my gift wrap service to your shopping basket for some extra special wrapping!
As an asthma sufferer I am in the government's vulnerable groups list. Whilst my asthma is well managed I cannot afford to expose myself to Covid 19 as the consequences could be very severe for me so I will need to isolate myself as much as possible with my family for the foreseeable future.
You can rest assured that I am adopting very safe product handling practices here. All materials I purchase are being quarantined over and beyond times recommended by World Health Organisation, Public Health England and government guidelines to ensure that everything is safe to use to produce your products and most of it has already been in my studio (which I have sole use of) for weeks already.
In order to avoid contact posting items I am now using Royal Mail Click and Drop service so that I can print my own postage and drop cards and smaller items directly in the postbox or at a drop off point without queuing at the post office. These are being dropped on my behalf at quiet times respecting all social distancing measures. For larger parcels I will only be using reputable courier services who are demonstrating good social distancing and handling practices.
Please check the latest recommendations from Public Health England and World Health Organisation regarding safe receipt of products. Both organisations currently suggest that the risk of infection being transmitted to or from packaging is very low even if packaging comes into contact with an infected person and anything on packaging is unlikely to last very long due to the different temperatures and environments that the package is exposed to in transit, however, current advices suggests that the virus can last on paper and cardboard for up to 24 hours and on harder materials such as plastic and metal for up to 72 hours.
Most post office and courier workers now operate good social distancing practices and will leave a package on your doorstep before knocking and stepping back. If not please ask them to do this before receiving your product if it does not fit through your letter box. You should also find that most sign for services are now being signed for by the delivery person so you will not be asked to sign for anything. If you are you should be able to refuse this.
Once you receive your package I would recommend quarantining it separately for 24 hours before opening it. If you need to open it before that time you should disinfect the package and immediately throw the packaging away then wash your hands before handling the contents. Remember that the contents are likely to have been quarantined longer than is necessary while the sealed parcel has been in transit to you and therefore will be perfectly safe to handle.
Without the distraction of exhibitions, workshops and trade orders I will often be able to despatch product quicker than usual, however, with most of the high street closed at this time the post office and other delivery services are experiencing unprecedented demand which may delay your delivery by a day or two here in the UK possibly longer overseas. Please accept my apologies for any delay but rest assured that I will be shipping your product as soon as I can to minimise any delay that occurs which is beyond my control.
Thankyou once more for your continued support. I hope that you and your families remain safe and well throughout this and I look forward to seeing lots of you in person again on the other side of it.
