Lucy Gell - Humorous and Fun Animal Prints

I have been designing and hand printing fun animal prints since 2001 using my own unique humourous style. I exhibit at art galleries and shows throughout the year. I take inspiration from my dogs and cats and particularly enjoy making whippet pictures. I am also inspired by the humour in childrens book illustrations which I loved as a child and from my previous career in animating. Click here to find out more about me, visit my artwork gallery to quickly see a selection of my work or my shop to purchase work.

My prints are designed to make you smile whether you are old or young. I hand-makes all of my animal pictures and use different techniques including Acid Plate EtchingDry Point EtchingScreenprintGocco-Print and Collograph. I have also transferred several designs to other printed mediums. A particularly popular product range is the very unique and humourous 3D Bird Cards which always make you smile.

Two great new exhibitions to start the New Year off. The first is the Animal Craft exhibition that will be running until May at Cartwright Hall in Bradford. The second is a real buzz for me to get into the Royal Exchange Theatre shop in Manchester. Read about both of them in my blog. More exhibition news coming shortly.

What's New?

New work is added to the shop on a regular basis. A few of the latest editions are shown below. Click on an image to find out more information.
