I have been designing and hand printing fun animal prints since 2001 using my own unique humourous style. I exhibit at art galleries and shows throughout the year taking inspiration from lots of birds and animals and especially from my own dogs and cats. I particularly enjoy making whippet pictures. I am also inspired by the humour in childrens book illustrations which I loved as a child and from my previous career in animating. My prints are designed to make you smile whether you are old or young. I hand-make all of my animal prints and use different techniques including Acid Plate Etching, Dry Point Etching, Screenprint, Gocco-Print and Collograph. I have also transferred several designs to other printed mediums. A particularly popular product range is the very unique and humourous 3D Bird Cards which always make you smile.
Two great new exhibitions to start the New Year off. The first is the Animal Craft exhibition that will be
running until May at Cartwright Hall in Bradford. The second is a real buzz for me to get into the Royal Exchange
Theatre shop in Manchester. Read about both of them in my blog. More exhibition news coming shortly.
New work is added to the shop on a regular basis. A few of the latest editions are shown below. Click on an image to find out more information.
Here is one of my brand new 3D Creature cards. I designed them earlier this year at the beginning of spring. I decided to start with four designs, two wild creatures and two creatures that live in the home. Which I have many of! So I designed a Border Collie and a cat.
I'm so pleased with the results and I'm planning to add to the range.
So watch this space...
